An implementing method of removing duplication protection for a multimedia messaging service interworking forwarding message, including:A, an original Multimedia Messaging Service Interworking Gateway (MMSIG) sending information to a recipient MMSIG at an opposite end, wherein the information is a forwarding message request;B, the recipient MMSIG determining a transmission type of a link according to a setting status of a request signaling of the original MMSIG, and determining whether the message is successfully received according to a status-identification code fed back by the request signaling or a response signaling, if successfully received, then going to step C, if not successfully received, then returning to step A; andC, delivering normally received information to a Multimedia Messaging Service Center (MMSC).

The method also includes determining an indication of a state of each recipient. The method also includes transmitting an acknowledgement. The acknowledgment includes at least one message identifying at least one recipient and the associated state of the at least one recipient.
