DISCUSSION
James Sproch (about 2 years ago)
Regarding Claim 00001, most shared data processing environments (which generally run on Linux machines) allow users to set 'user' and 'group' file permissions. Generally, a new 'user' is created for each 'application' (for instance, people generally create a tomcat6 user for apache tomcat and a mysql user for MySQL, and a sshd user for Secure Shell Daemon), and applications run under that user (thus, uniquely identifying them). Users (aka. application identifiers) can be members of groups, and group permissions can be assigned to a file. This seems to meet all the criteria of Claim 00001. Am I missing something?PEER TO PATENT ACTIVITY
